Gathering of “Englites"—Our students achieved excellent results in the 2023 Speaking English Contest

    (This is Tourism English Studio(TES) news, via Publicity Department of TES, Julia）In order to create a good atmosphere for English learning and enhance our students' interest in it, facilitating learning and training through competition, demonstrate students' ability and skills to use English. Our school held the 2023 Oral English Competition.This competition intends to enrich campus cultural life, exercise students' oral expression skills, and supply students with a platform to showcase their talents and exercise themselves. The contestants were divided into professional and non-professional groups, but regardless of which group, we believe that everyone can learn from each other and progress together.
    The competition had two parts: "Chart description" and "Chinese story". In the "Chart Description" section, contestants are required to draw lots to select charts and provide relevant descriptions within a limited time, including data, trends, reasons, etc., mainly to assess students' chart writing and description abilities.In the "Chinese story" section, contestants are required to give prepared speeches on specific themes. We hope the contestants can tell the story of China well, promote the spirit of craftsmanship, serve the country to achieve socialist modernization with their own professional skills and qualities, and contribute Chinese wisdom and solutions.
    After a fierce competition, Zhu Yaning from Class 1, Grade 22 of Tourism English and Wang Na from Class 2, Grade 22 of Tourism English respectively won the first and second prizes in the professional group!
